Hotel Kugel has been located in one of the most beautiful areas of Vienna since 1863, and much from that era has been preserved in the neighborhood. Back then it was expected that men would down eight (!) mugs of beer at the Sunday morning beer and music events. And women were supposed to knock back half that amount.
In 1898 the hotel advertised its recently installed, complete new electrical wiring.
The famous old house gardens are still well-groomed and hidden behind the facades of Biedermeier and Baroque houses and are just waiting for the adventurous to come and discover them.
